A Dedicated Family of Professionals

Bryan Gregerson

Bryan Gregerson, co-owner of Clube LA with his wife Nancy, began training Jiu Jitsu in 2001 at the age of 15. By 16, he had earned his blue belt from Rigan Machado and Paulo Guillobel. Bryan left the mats for ten years to concentrate on earning his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees at the University of Southern California.

After some prodding from his high school students at Mendez High School in Boyle Heights, Bryan returned to training to teach an after school self-defense class. He is now a brown belt and the Fundamentals instructor at Clube Los Angeles.

Bryan’s beginner-friendly approach to teaching is driven by his understanding of various learning theories he studied while earning his Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) degree at USC and by his eight years’ experience teaching Social Studies in the Los Angeles and Boyle Heights. Bryan is (almost!) fluent in Spanish.

Isaac Doederlein

Professor Isaac Doederlein, an Alliance black belt under the legendary Rubens 'Cobrinha' Charles, is widely regarded as one of the top five featherweight competitors in the world. Isaac got his start in Jiu Jitsu in Arizona under Wellington 'Megaton' Dias, who guided him to winning the Worlds as a blue belt in 2010. As a purple belt, he moved to Los Angeles to train Jiu Jitsu full time under Cobrinha. Since earning his black belt, Professor Isaac has won multiple IBJJF tournaments, defeating some of the biggest names in the modern Brazilian Jiu Jitsu circuit.

Mark Bradford

Professor Mark Bradford is a lifelong martial artist and leader of the Clube family of schools. A first degree black belt under Alberto Crane and seasoned martial arts instructor, Mark spends most of his time teaching his dedicated students at the Clube Hollywood location. All Clube Los Angeles members are welcome to visit him at 1516 North Gardner Boulevard Unit B whenever they find themselves in Hollywood!

Nancy Corona - Gregerson

Nancy Gregerson, Clube LA’s General Manager, is from Montebello, California by way of Distrito Federal, Mexico. Nancy graduated from East Los Angeles College, earned her Bachelor’s degree at California State University Fullerton, and completed her Master’s Degree and teaching credential at Loyola Marymount University.

After teaching inmates in prison and working as an elementary, middle-, and high school teacher, Nancy decided to shift gears and focus on creating Clube Los Angeles. Her vision was to create a high-end martial arts experience for adults and children that is accessible to all. We have to say, she has succeeded with flying colors!

Nancy is a purple belt under Profesora Jessica Flowers, and she has been training kickboxing and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu for five years.

Mario romero

Mario holds a fourth degree black belt under the legendary Rigan Machado, making him the second-highest ranked black belt of Mexican heritage in the world. He began training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in the 90s while he was a college student, and he has competed successfully at all belt levels. In fact, his reputation for high pace and aggressive competition style earned him the nickname “El Toro (The Bull)”. Family is also a big part of Mario’s life— in fact, you will often see his wife, step son, and grandchildren with him on the mats at Clube LA!

GUstave Epee

Born in Cameroon, Africa, Professor Gustave moved to Belgium at age 15, where he first tried Brazilian Jiu Jitsu upon a friend’s suggestion. He was immediately hooked and consequently changed his plans of joining the army to begin training, and eventually teaching, BJJ full time. Realizing in his heart that BJJ would forever be a part of his life, he packed his bags and spent his savings to travel back and forth from Belgium to Brazil in order to study under Professor Augusto Ferrari. Impressed with his new student’s intensity, dedication, and competitive accomplishments, Professor Ferrari travelled to Belgium in 2017 to personally award Gustave with his black belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. In his spare time, Gustave enjoys dancing and spending time at the beach.
